Advice for Global Action teams departing in summer 2020

I hope that you had a good Easter break in what are unprecedented times for all of us.

Following the recent update to Government restrictions and guidance in response to this global pandemic, we are continuing to work with schools and colleges to decide the best way to progress with the planned upcoming trips.

This is a challenging time for us all – for our Global Action staff who have worked hard over the past 15 months to plan the trips, and especially our teachers and young students who were due to depart overseas this summer for life-changing experiences, and learn about important projects in the Himalayas, East Africa and Central America.

We know that you have put a huge amount of time and effort into preparing for your trip and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you for your fantastic effort and achievements in raising funds over the past 15 months.

Global Action remains dedicated to facilitating Global Learning for positive change and harnessing the changemaking power of young people. We remain dedicated to ensuring we can deliver engaging and empowering learning experiences to our young people, focussed around poverty reduction, environmental issues and social justice, to build a positive attitude towards global change.

Thank you for supporting Global Action, and our thoughts and best wishes are with you. If we can help in any way, please feel free to contact us.

Mark Giffard-Lindsay, Managing Director
