    The Adriatic to Gremenj National Park

    Organic agriculture, the fall of communism, and the challenges faced by modern migrants in this 'transit' country.

  • Day 8

    The Vjosa Valley

    Meet local activists to learn how they persuaded the government to create the first wild river national park in Europe instead of building a hydroelectric dam.

  • Day 9-11

    Gjirokaster, Butrint and the Albanian Riviera

    Ancient cultures in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, sea kayaking, exploring marine ecosystems in Albania's UNDP-supported maritime park, and a visit to the outstanding Berat Citadel.

    Sustainable tourism initiatives for conservation and community development, and home to many organisations working towards the Sustainable Develoment Goals. And time for souvenir shopping too!
