UN World Day of Social Justice
Why are we talking about Social Justice? Today, February 20th, is the UN World Day…
View ArticleFrom the World Heritage palaces of Kathmandu to the tropical jungle of the Royal Chitwan National Park, this is a wildlife adventure and global learning programme for both conservation enthusiasts and geography students to learn about:
Nepal is landlocked between the Tibet Autonomous Region and India. It has the greatest altitude variation on Earth, from the Terai lowland plains (Chitwan) at almost sea-level, to the hills and mountain region of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest at 8,848 metres. In fact, Nepal has 8 of the 10 highest mountain peaks in the world.
Nepal is home to some of the friendliest people you will ever meet! Kathmandu hosts many development agencies and charities working in poverty reduction, conservation and social justice. As a Global Action school team you will visit staff working in the field to learn more about wildlife conservation and development solutions in Nepal.
Our Chitwan programme is designed to give you an outstanding wildlife adventure, with a global learning focus on conservation and poverty reduction in post-earthquake Nepal. Because our Global Action Directors have lived and worked in Nepal, you’ll enjoy a programme built around personal experience and professional contacts.
Students will learn about sustainable development in expert-led seminars at international and Nepalese charities, such as: the UK government’s FCDO, the World Wildlife Fund, ICIMOD, and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. The team will also enjoy a jungle wildlife safari in the Royal Chitwan National Park. The programme is topped off with a workshop on Buddhism, meditation and mindfulness at a beautiful monastery just outside Kathmandu.
Global Action projects are contributing towards Nepal achieving its targets for Goal 6 under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and as part of the important community project, the team will help install clean drinking water tanks in a poor Nepalese school. During this project, we will also enjoy a unique cultural exchange and teach English.
We appreciate how busy Teachers are, so we’ve made the booking process as simple as possible! There are four easy steps:
Call or email us to book a meeting or phone call at your school. We will listen carefully to what interests you, and your requirements.
We will then email you a tailored proposal, which will include a full itinerary, all-inclusive price, and key documents for the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Once you get approval from the SMT, we will send you key marketing material, including posters, to help promote the trip.
We visit your school to deliver inspiring presentations in a short Morning Assembly and a longer Parents’ Presentation 10 days later.

My son had the most incredible adventure. The things you managed to pack into 3 weeks were wonderful. It was a joy to watch him and the others go through the whole process. So increedibly proud of them all, and Global Action gave them the opportunity.
An amazing, life-changing experience for students and staff. The most organised, beneficial educational trip you could ever experience – I have never come across a company with such an extensive programme, where you feel you are positively making change in the world. The learning that took place throughout the programme was beyond outstanding
An amazing experience full of life changing memories.
