A meeting with your Global Action Trip Leader at school to check your kit, run through health and safety briefings, and have an introduction to Nepal’s culture.

Days 1-2
Kathmandu
Overnight flight to Kathmandu and a guided tour of the old town markets, temples and shrines.

Days 3-4
NGOs and UNESCO World Heritage Sites
A combination of exploring magnificent, ancient temples and palaces, an introduction to Buddhism and Hinduism, and workshops with experts in international agencies working in conservation, wildlife protection and poverty reduction in Nepal.

Days 5-8
Community project
Immerse yourself in the local culture and learn some Nepalese while working on a community-based poverty reduction project designed by our Project Director in Nepal.

Days 9-12
Chitwan jungle
Explore the rich biodiversity of the Chitwan Jungle, home to the greater one-horned rhino. Your jungle adventure can include a boat trip down the river, nature walks, elephant safari and a visit to an elephant breeding centre.

Day 13
Relax
Return to Kathmandu for shopping, a final celebratory meal, and teachings in a tranquil monastery on Buddhism, mindfulness and meditation.
