BBSCOR26
SUMMER 2026
This is a unique trip, with unprecedented access to international charities working in Costa Rica, allowing your son or daughter to learn about global citizenship.
Costa Rica, one of the most bio-diverse and sustainable countries in the world, is world-famous for spectacular forests and pristine beaches. The trip has been designed to enhance cross-curricular learning in the Humanities and Sciences, while giving students an outstanding adventure. Few places on Earth offer as many life-changing educational experiences!
Due to the high educational value of this trip, all students will earn the widely recognised ASDAN Universities Award, which will look excellent on UCAS University applications.
After exploring San José, we will enjoy a superb trek in the spectacular Monteverde Forest, described by National Geographic as “the jewel in the crown of cloud forest reserves”. It is an internationally protected conservation area, and of vital importance. We can enjoy trekking through magnificent scenery, waterfalls and see the amazing variety of species. We will work with the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, learning about the importance of international conservation, and participate with the local community in reforestation activities.
We will then be based on the Pacific Coast to work alongside a leading charity, for our exciting Sea Turtle Conversation Project. The area’s beaches are an important nesting site for critically endangered Sea Turtles. Conservation efforts here for these turtles are extremely important. We will work with researchers to monitor the nests, and patrol the beach in small teams, to ensure the safe passage of these species.
