GODNEP26
October 2026
This is a unique trip, with unprecedented access to international charities working in Nepal, allowing your son or daughter to learn about global citizenship. Due to the high educational value of this trip, all students will automatically earn the ASDAN Universities Award, which will look excellent on UCAS Applications.
The expedition starts with an exploration of Kathmandu’s magnificent World Heritage temples. Students will also enjoy interactive workshops at international agencies (including the World Wildlife Fund, the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and the UK Government’s international development projects), to learn how the UK is supporting poverty reduction and environmental protection in Nepal.
Global Action projects are contributing towards Nepal achieving its targets for Goal 6 under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and as part of the project, the team will help install clean drinking water tanks in a poor Nepalese school. During this project, we will also enjoy a unique cultural exchange and teach English.
We then carry out a superb trek through the Himalayas, where students will have spectacular views of the world-famous Annapurna Mountain Range. We will stay in mountain lodges, and carry daysacks, so all students will really enjoy this. This phase will give all participants a real sense of empowerment!
We finish this unique trip by visiting the beautiful Kopan Monastery to learn how two world religions, Buddhism and Hinduism, are practised in harmony together. Students will enjoy sessions in meditation and learn about mindfulness.
