Flights & Logistics Co-ordinator

Alison studied travel and tourism at college before starting her career as a travel agent, both corporate and private client.  She’s a self-confessed aviation geek – at her happiest plane spotting at Heathrow! She’s flown in a few planes too, feeding her life-long love of travel. Highlights include spending time with elephants in Laos, sitting in the cockpit for landing into Budapest, sailing in Spitsbergen searching for polar bears, trips to Costa Rica with her young children and samba-ing in Rio de Janeiro.

Alison’s other passion is Girlguiding.  She has been the leader at the same Guide group for 26 years and was recently awarded her 30 years long service brooch. She has been the international adviser for Gloucestershire, has led trips to California, South Africa and France, and helps to arrange trips for girls to all parts of the world.

Working for Global Action is a dream job, not just because there are dogs in the office, but the role combines her two favourite things – giving young people amazing opportunities and booking the flights for our travellers.
