Suzy loves her role at Global Action because it combines her two passions: working with young people, and promoting understanding of global development.

Suzy’s first opportunity to work internationally came at 18 when she spent 6 months volunteering in Malaysia. This experience changed her perspective on the world, and she is passionate about giving young people similar opportunities. After university, she ventured into teaching English in Asia and the Middle East, before transitioning into the management of international voluntary programmes. She spent 2 1/2 years managing voluntary projects on the ground in Ghana and Nepal, before spending 3 years as an Operations Manager supporting programmes in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Suzy loves meeting students about to embark on their Global Action adventure, and hearing about the impact the programme has had on their development when they return.
