Commonly known as the cradle of Western civilization, Greek myths and culture influenced the Roman Empire, and continue to influence modern culture today - think the Olympic games, Mamma Mia, The Hunger Games, Hercules, and Troy.
Greek people are very proud of their rich, vibrant culture and speak of their heritage with great passion. They are united by their traditions, religion, language, music, food, and wine. About 90% of the population is Greek orthodox.
