Build skills in entrepreneurship and save money – fantastic life skills and popular with parents!
It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to amazing countries, have fun, and learn about global issues. On your trip, you will develop knowledge, skills and values you can take beyond school into your life as an adult.
This starts with your Destination Manager facilitating a Global Learning Workshop at your school. Here you’ll start thinking about the meaning of development, how the SDGs link to activities on your trip, and how your own actions as global citizens can contribute positively towards a better world.
Many of the topics you will experience first-hand in-country are also taught within the curriculum. What better way to appreciate the complexities of poverty reduction in Nepal than by meeting people living and working there? Or if coral reef ecosystems are your thing, then snorkelling to compare reef health off the Zanzibar coast is certainly one way to bring the subject to life!

I expected to learn a lot and we did. Expected pupils to engage, be inspired, challenged, shaken out of their comfort zones - most were at some point although this trip will probably affect them for the future too in ways yet unknown.
I learnt about the sustainable development goals, and I was inspired to look into them more to see what I can do to make a difference.
The most important part of the trip for me was watching the students engage in an immersive cultural experience and feeling proud of their achievements and resilience. Also feeling very supported by their trip leader and ground staff in India.
